Twenty-Seven Civilians Reportedly Killed in Sudan’s South Kordofan

Kadugli, Sudan (HT): At least 27 people, including four children, have reportedly been killed in attacks in Sudan’s South Kordofan region, according to the Sudan Doctors Network.

The medical organisation accused fighters from the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North, which is aligned with the Rapid Support Forces, of carrying out the attacks in Qardud and Abu Hamama.

The violence reportedly forced residents to flee towards Abu Hitan and Kadugli. The organisation warned that attacks against civilians could transform the conflict into a broader ethnic confrontation.

Sudan’s civil war has displaced millions of people and created one of the world’s most serious humanitarian emergencies.
