Washington (HT): US President Donald Trump has threatened a strong military response following Iranian strikes targeting American military personnel in Jordan.
The incident represents the first direct exchange of fire between the United States and Iran in approximately one month.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Tehran would respond immediately if Washington fulfilled its commitments under an interim agreement signed in June.
The agreement was intended to end the six-month conflict and create conditions for reopening the Strait of Hormuz, a vital route for global oil and gas supplies.
