Baghdad, (HT) The Director General of the National Intelligence and Security Agency of Somalia (NISA), Mr. Mahad Mohamed Salad, on Saturday participated in the 7th Conference of Heads of Arab Intelligence Services, held in Baghdad, Iraq.
The high-level gathering brought together intelligence leaders and security officials from 22 Arab countries, with the shared goal of boosting regional intelligence cooperation, strengthening information sharing, and promoting Arab unity in the face of growing security threats.
Key topics discussed included joint strategies for counterterrorism, methods to combat transnational crime, and frameworks to improve real-time intelligence coordination among member states.
Mr. Mahad Mohamed Salad emphasized Somalia’s continued commitment to regional stability and the importance of unified action against terrorism. He also held sideline discussions with fellow intelligence chiefs to explore bilateral cooperation and support mechanisms for ongoing security efforts in the Horn of Africa.
